Available Adults
Occasionally, we have adult dogs available to adopt. These are not "kennel" dogs, they have lived in our home, and are loved as pets. Sadly, we can not keep them all, so they need a new home to live out the remainder of their days. We are looking for the best fit for them, and will discuss needs of the pet, as well as those of the potential family. All retired adults will be spayed or neutered and have a current health examination by our veterinarian.
Ruby
Ruby has been a good companion. She loves her humans and can be found lying at their feet or close by. Ruby is house broken and crate trained. She prefers to sleep in, often past noon. She will bark at new sounds, but not excessively. She likes to ride in the car. Ruby needs to be the only dog in the house as she wants a lot of attention and tends to be a troll to other dogs at random. When Ruby came to us, she had two cherry eyes that cannot be repaired without removing the eyelid. Because they don't seem to bother her unless it is windy, we decided to leave well enough alone. We put saline drops in her eyes when they look dry, and wash with warm water and soft cloth when they get matter in them.
